PHOENIX, AZ — Blue Panthers, a leader in justice-involved youth advocacy, officially announced today its strategic expansion into three new states: California, Minnesota, and Iowa. This initiative, titled the National Youth Reentry Expansion Project, is supported by a proposed $4,000,000 federal grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).

The expansion will deploy Blue Panthers’ signature PROWL Curriculum (Purpose, Resilience, Ownership, Workforce, Leadership) to support youth transitioning from high-security facilities back to their communities. Regional operations will be led by newly appointed State Directors: Demetrius Baker (California), LeCraig M. McGuire (Minnesota), and Ronald Walker (Iowa).

The Blue Panthers model is unique for its 12-month mentorship commitment, which pairs "Credible Messenger" mentors with youth to provide 1-on-1 guidance through the critical first year of reentry.
